2017 Breeder Roundtable in New York!

I'm off to New York City this week for the 2017 ALAA Breeder Roundtable.  The conference will include speakers such as well known Myra Savant Harris speaking on Reproduction and Neonatal Care.  Dr Bell will be speaking about Genetics, Diversity and Disease Testing.  Also Jane Killions will be explaining Puppy Culture and the wide range of topics under that umbrella including Puppy Socialization.  There are expected to be around 150 Labradoodle breeders from across the country descending on the Big Apple.  I look forward to making some valuable connections for the future for Patriot's Day Doodles!

Since I'm in the Big City, a friend of mine, Amber, from the Navy will be staying with me and we are going to spend a few extra days sightseeing.  I'm looking forward to seeing Shakespeare's Garden in Central Park, Ground Zero where I'm not sure what to expect emotionally, and the Financial District because who can pass up a huge bull.  Amber and I have a Best of NYC cruise booked which takes us around Manhattan Island and includes an up close with (drumroll). . .The Statue of Liberty!  

Tampa Bay Semper Fidelis

This girl is a dream and she has hair that makes everyone envious.  She doesn't shed and rarely even tangles.  She is the most laid back and mellow puppy.  Semper is going on 7 months and she is a joy!  

Bestland's Anchors Aweigh "Chief"

Chief had his photo session today to show off his new cut and color.  He is now 5 months old and growing fast.  We are loving his temperament, conformation and his coat is silky smooth.  Chief comes for playdates once a week to hang out with the "girls".  We are confident we'll have some amazing puppies in 2018!

Walter Reed Service Dog Program

We were able to talk with the amazing Service Dog trainers at Walter Reed.  We happened to be there for the newest introduction of the "Greatest Generation" litter of Golden Retrievers.  The only girl in the litter was, of course, who my girls wanted to hold. We will follow her progress once she has been named after someone from the "Greatest Generation".  It was amazing to see the training and work and that goes into producing a quality service dog for those who lives are greatly enriched by their abilities.

Official ALCA Registered Breeder!

We are the first breeder in Virginia to be ALAA and ALCA registered! We are excited to be part of the recognition and development of this wonderful family addition!

Co-pilot

My co-pilot for a park day with the kids. Love this girl, Semper Fidelis, for her beauty and laid back personality.  So mellow and gentle and a favorite wherever we go.

We've spent the summer running!

After travels through IL, MO, IN, and TX, we are finally home again and ready to start our year.  We are working on some dog training classes and see who we can get qualified for Canine Good Citizen this year or in the spring.

Chief

He is so handsome in his soft fleece khaki and tuxedo white coat. His light green/brown eyes make you pause and enjoy a moment of puppy happiness.

WELCOME ABOARD!

Chief has arrived and is getting adjusted to his new surroundings.  He will go for his puppy wellness check on Thursday and then to go to live with his Guardian Family.  He has 6 children who are excited to have him as a new playmate.  Patriot's Day Doodles is excited to have him aboard as a foundation stud for our program.
