We will be adding the link to ALCA on our website. They are updating their site to make it more user friendly. We are the only breeder in Virginia who is ALCA and ALAA!!
Sailors Delight is at progesterone level 1 which means we are watching for a potential breeding date. She will be tested again on Monday and we'll know better dates on Tuesday! She is at 13 lbs and should have mini pups 13- 25lbs at maturity. Pups should be either apricot, red, caramel or parti of those 3 colors. It is her first litter so we'll have to see what happens. I have a full wait list already but no reservations will be taken until we have a confirmed pregnancy. If the breeding is successful, we should have March puppies with May go home dates!
Celebrated the day with friends and a venison cake. Actually it was an excuse for a playdate and cake is always fun. Sailors Delight has finished out at 13 lbs and 14 inches tall. A true Mini Australian Labradoodle!
The last of the leaves before winter sets in. Love my babies in the leaves!
Chief and Semper spent a few hours fore playing for this summer.
It's "back in the day" flashback! I'm one of many in my family to have served for the most remarkable country in history.
The information and registered breeders in this group were amazing. I'm so pleased to be part of this group and the desire to produce a Healthy and Temperament oriented breed: Multi-Gen Australian Labradoodle!
Thank you Joe Adams at Living the Dream Labradoodles in North Carolina for taking this picture!
I'm off to New York City this week for the 2017 ALAA Breeder Roundtable. The conference will include speakers such as well known Myra Savant Harris speaking on Reproduction and Neonatal Care. Dr Bell will be speaking about Genetics, Diversity and Disease Testing. Also Jane Killions will be explaining Puppy Culture and the wide range of topics under that umbrella including Puppy Socialization. There are expected to be around 150 Labradoodle breeders from across the country descending on the Big Apple. I look forward to making some valuable connections for the future for Patriot's Day Doodles!
Since I'm in the Big City, a friend of mine, Amber, from the Navy will be staying with me and we are going to spend a few extra days sightseeing. I'm looking forward to seeing Shakespeare's Garden in Central Park, Ground Zero where I'm not sure what to expect emotionally, and the Financial District because who can pass up a huge bull. Amber and I have a Best of NYC cruise booked which takes us around Manhattan Island and includes an up close with (drumroll). . .The Statue of Liberty!
This spunky little apricot girl loves to be in a lap. She is a miniature weighing in around 13lbs and will be having miniature puppies in 2018. She is presently 10 months old and so we are not expecting her to be much bigger. She is a living doll for the girls who dress her up and carry her around.
